Greetings Fellow Invictranites,

Funcom has opened up registration for AoC. Head to http://register.ageofconan.com and input your Pre-Order Key to sign up. It looks like for the first 3 days the level cap is 20. That means you can get all the way out of Tortage. I recommend taking your time though as it is a lot of fun!

*Update*
There is no more level cap for those 3 days and the people in Europe will be starting on the 17th with the rest of the US :). So that means the Europeans get a 6 day head start hehe.

May Heads Fall Under Your Sword!

all registered. Now if only I could call dibs on my character names, I would be very happy. :)

Registered here as well... and cant agree more. The odds of someone else taking my name seems slim... but then again, the account name I had planned on using was already taken... and I'd have never thunk that one.

Yeah my account name was taken and the next one I tried was taken as well. I've never had a case where that has happened.

Registered. I hope the name Vesper won't fly out of the door before I can claim it. All other names I want to use are, luckily, more unique. I hope to claim the name and leave it, while I dork around with char creation on an alt.
Think creating the character you want with the name you want takes too long so for claiming a name sake, Vesper will prolly end up being some hairy guy at first :p

Yeah I've mentioned the name I want for my main a couple times now and now I'm starting to worry that it will already be grabbed up before I can claim it. It's not really unique. The only thing I could think to do to protect it, which only gives it minor protection at best, was to create a character with that name in AO. That way I know at least no one from AO is going to come along and grab it up first because they are attached to it. However of course obviously, that doesn't really stop anyone from doing anything. :)

The whole username must be at least 6 characters thing is annoying me. Keeps me from using my AO account name and keeps me from using Unah on the forum. Please tell me that they don't have a 6 letter requirement for character names.... trying to... keep down the rage.... :cuss: :p

In fact... has anyone been able to register for their forum name through their account page? Cause I've tried about 10 - 15 names and I'm really running out of anything I would want to call myself. It keeps saying the name isn't available, but I wonder if any of them really are.

I registered my forum name as Durroch and it said that it saved it successfully. As for character names, you can have 4 letter names (as it is right now in the beta). You gotta remember that they are expecting around 600,000 people on launch day...so names are going to be snagged quickly.

You may want to double-check that, Negs. I got it to accept my pre-order keycode under my AO info, but it didn't actually open a Conan account that way. The only way I could get it to actually open a Conan account is to start a new one with different info. If you got it to work that way, cool...but, I could not.

Also, count me among those who couldn't get the forum name section to work on the Conan account. I'm not sure how Durroch got that to work. I already have "Ashval" on the official Conan forum at their website, so I'm not sure how that's even going to work.

After reading your post, Ash, I went to the main site and just signed up for the forum that way. It accepted Unah without a problem. So something's weird with doing it through the account cause it said the forum name needed at least 6 chars. Bah! :nopity:

I had that when i reactivated my AO account a few months ago, it made me change my forum name from Negs back to SirNegs because I didn't have the 6 character ><
